The insurance applies in the Nordic countries but if the insured has a Visa to the Schengen area, which is issued by a Swedish Embassy or Consul General, the Visitor medical Insurance  is valid in the other Schengen countries. (From June 1, 2004, the EU makes demands on medical insurance to get a Visa for EU countries).
